I almost didn't post this but decided it's worth relating. Several days ago while Helen and I were exploring the area at Bitter Lake National Wildlife Area, we hiked up a high desert trail in a very strong wind. Playing around with the numerous tumbleweeds, we let one go along the winding trail in front of us. Because of the wind direction, rocks, etc, the crazy tumbleweed made the first turn, kept on going down the trail and made the second turn, disappearing in the distance. For the next 30 minutes we kept sending them down and took some videos with limited success. The best video is on my phone. What crazy fun!
